Why daily minerals with the natural fulvic acid delivery system

I take the “Core+pH Balancer” everyday and it’s pretty thorough. Even so, there are several other core things I add including:

  • Minerals
  • Magnesium
  • Vitamin C
  • Iodine
  • Probiotics

Let’s talk here about that first one, minerals. I add this one to my daily routine because (1) we need more minerals, and (2) we need detox help.

Minerals cannot be produced within the body. Like vitamin C, our body’s mineral needs must be supplied through proper diet or supplementation. And “proper diet” is almost impossible to come by today.

Crops are grown for greatest yield, not increased nutrition. Today’s farming practices use pesticides, herbicides, fungicides, and other soil additives, plus the healthy practice of rotating crops has pretty much fallen by the wayside. The result is a significant decline in soil bacteria and available nutrients. Deficient soils produce foods with inadequate nutrition. And organic? Yes, a better choice because you avoid the pesticides, etc., but even organic says nothing about the nutrient levels in the soil.

Multiple studies have shown U.S. crops now have significantly less calcium, iron, potassium, vitamins A and C, and many other nutrients compared to crops grown just 50 years ago. So no matter how much effort we put into eating fresh fruits, vegetables, and other plant foods, we still won’t get the nutrition previous generations enjoyed. Livestock are typically fed unnatural diets with nutrient deficient foods dosed with hormones, antibiotics, and other damaging compounds that lead to less nutritious meats on our plates.

Even in the 1930s this was known. During his world-wide nutritional studies, Dr. Weston Price documented that hunter-gatherer societies of his time were eating 5 to 10 times the amount of minerals that city-dwellers ate.

When the mother is mineral deficient, so too is the baby. But the good news is that mineral deficiencies are easy to address. Mineral supplementation is comparatively cheap. Just give it time to replenish your body’s levels; it is a slow process.

Minerals Are the Spark Plugs

Minerals are required for every body function, from activating muscles and nerves, to digestion, energy production, and all healing and regeneration of the body.

Our bodies require most of the minerals and elements in specific ratios to function optimally. For example, if we consume too much zinc, our copper stores will be depleted. Just take a look at the mineral wheel below. Each mineral relates to several others, and an uneven balance can affect how well our bodies perform even basic biological functions.

This is the classic “mineral wheel.” The arrows aimed at each other show how one mineral interacts with others. This is why you want all your minerals and you want them in balance.

If you look at calcium (Ca stands for calcium), you see that it interacts with 10 other minerals. And those 10 interact with others, and so on and so on. Most minerals require other minerals to do their job.

Zinc (Zn stands for zinc) can teach us something else about minerals. Zinc is important especially to the immune system. But if you supplemented too much zinc for too long, you may depress copper metabolism, which in turn suppresses iron metabolism which may cause a reduction in the production of hemoglobin, the molecule that carries oxygen to the tissues… You can become anemic by supplementing too much zinc for too long.

The minerals calcium, magnesium, sodium, potassium, sulfur, chlorine and phosphorus are sometimes called the electrolytes or macro-minerals. Electrolyte means this mineral carries an electrical charge. The body uses electrolytes to create and carry voltages across cell membranes. In other words, they are part of how our cells communicate among themselves, and move things in and out. Electrolytes can affect water levels in your body, how acidic or alkaline your blood and urine is, how your nerves and muscles function, and more.

Mother Earth Labs’ Humic and Fulvic Plant Based Minerals

This supplement contains 74+ macro, micro, and trace minerals and encompass everything on the time-honored periodic table. This supplement is processed with only purified water; no chemicals or heat are used during any part of the extraction or production process.

These minerals are extracted from a mine in a pristine location in Northwest New Mexico that was formed during the Cretaceous Period (it followed the Jurassic Period which ended 145 million years ago). Rich sedimentary geological layers were formed in warm delta-like conditions.

According to the company, this supplement:

  • Provides trace minerals, vitamins, and phytonutrients often missing from our diets. Humic & Fulvic helps introduce these missing nutrients back into our bodies through supercharged absorption and delivery, directly into cells where they can be used.
  • Promotes a balanced gut microbiome by acting as a prebiotic fiber to feed and nourish beneficial bacteria, removing toxic chemicals from our GI tract, and reducing intestinal inflammation.
  • Supports the intestinal tight junction integrity necessary to avoid “leaky gut.”
  • Encourages cells to release toxic compounds, identifies and captures these compounds, and safely removes them from the body for a deep tissue, cellular detox.
  • Defends healthy cells by recognizing free radicals and neutralizing them on the spot.

How To Take These Minerals

Take at least 1 ounce daily with a full glass of pure, non-chlorinated water. How easy is that?

Consume within 6 months of opening; shelf life unopened is 2 years from MFD. Store away from sources of direct light and heat. Do not freeze.

Take a mineral supplement with food. In the stomach, minerals are mixed with proteins or amino acids which serve as carrier substances to assist their absorption. This process requires an acidic stomach and the presence of enough protein in the diet. (This is why vegetarians are notoriously low on zinc, for example.) If you are taking antacids or PPIs, you want to work with a nutrition-savvy medical profession to restore normal stomach acid function.

The Detox Effect

I’ve seen people spend crazy amounts of money and effort trying to “detox.” The concept is good, but the execution? Not so much. Fulvic acid is nature’s detoxifier.
By correcting, or even just increasing, the electrical potential of our cells, fulvic encourages cells to release waste products. Fulvic is then able to recognize and bind with these substances and carry them through the liver and kidneys to be processed and excreted by the body.

The larger humic molecules are not easily absorbed through our intestinal walls, so they stay in the digestive tract where they offer other health benefits. Glyphosate, the active ingredient in RoundUp used on wheat and many GMO crops, has been shown to wreak havoc in our digestive tracts, but this is where the larger humic molecules shine. Studies have shown humic acids assist in the removal of glyphosate and other toxins in the digestive tract as well as reducing the overall absorption of these harmful chemicals.

Humic also has powerful redox support that helps strengthen the contact between intestinal cells, improving “tight junction function” and reducing issues related to leaky gut. It also helps our body maintain proper fluid and electrolyte balance, and promotes the growth of beneficial gut bacteria by acting like a prebiotic fiber.

So much from one simple supplement. That is why I add this to my daily dose of “Core + pH Balancer.” This is not available in stores. This is shipped by mail. To order, click here
